Caroline Webb has been designing and carving inscriptions in stone and wood since graduating with a degree in Typography thirty years ago.

Caroline's work - her lettercarving, low-relief carving and printmaking, reflects her particular delight in quiet detail and her love of letterforms, poetry, plants and landscape. Her approach to lettercarving is simple; she understands the power of words and appreciates the importance of simplicity in communication. For many years Caroline collaborated with poet Ian Hamilton Finlay, contributing numerous works to exhibitions, private collections and to his garden Stonypath.

Caroline is an elected member of the Art Workers Guild, The Society of Designer Craftsmen and Letter Exchange. She lives and works in rural Wiltshire.
